Photographer’s Note

Taken from The Roadside on the Fort William to Mallaige Road. The Monument is about halfway between the tow towns. Also famous here is the Railway Viaduct (Harry Potter Films etc).
The monument is to Bonnie Prince Charlie as this is where he arrived on the Scottish Mainland to rendezvous with other Jacobites.
You can actually climb up the monument via a narrow staircase and narrower hatch. To be honest the best veiws are from the outside.
