Probaly over 300 years old, this magnificent speciman of a caledonian pine is in the Cairngorms National Park. To walk amongst these ancient trees, alone at dusk and dawn is a surreal experience

Wonderful picture, Chris. The dark clouds have plenty of variety and coordinate with the darker green of the pine needles, wile the light catching the reddish bark brings it to life. Perfectly cropped. Definitely one of my favourites.
