Hello Bulent,
The coat of arms add a nice detail to this ship. I wonder at the amount of restoration they do on this ship to keep it afloat for such a long time. Your scan is very good and you managed to preserve details very well. The colours look soft and natural. Your historical anecdote is interesting and give us valuable information. Thanks Bulent.

Merhaba Bulent Bey,
Saygilar,

Hello Bulent,
Amazing! 35 years and superb clarity in colours...
Of course slides are a much better medium as compared to paper print when it comes to storing images over a long period of time...
An interesting composition full of sharp fine details, well done back then!
Greetings,

Hello, Bulent -
OK, you beat me in the archive game!
Interesting historical shot - and even more interesting note. I do like the sweep of the orange beams leading to the shield on the bow. But I am bothered, as always in such a scene, with all the ropes going all over the place. The lower left section is good enough to take my mind off them for a while, but eventually I keep coming back to the messy lines. I have almost never managed to get a decent picture with lines like that (in my case it's usually telephone wires that get in the way), so I am feeling a little frustrated over it as I look at this picture - it does a better job than most.
But, we shall persevere!
Best,
Dan

very famous ship out your archive 1973 Bulent.
a nice pov here, I think that you with the knowledge of photography what you have now in you, you will made the shot not on the same way. I like the boat and the very good note of yours, very good trekearth job here my friend.

merhaba Bulent,
I think you have chosen a very wise approach in showing this magnificient ship - to concentrate on the details. and what you have included in the phoyo illustrates very well her beauty and power [I try to remember that a ship is ALWAYS "she" :)]. the tight composition works perfectly to create a strong sense of presence, and for a scan of a 35 year-old slide the quality is impeccable. as usual, excellent note, thanks :)
with best regards,
Kristine

Hi Bulent,
Wonderful photo otf the famous ship. Very well preserved, the ship and your ancient slide. It has superb quality. IOnteresting story about lord Nelson. The motto is the motto of the Order of the Garter, I think. Can ship be decorated? I think that I saw Victory in 1978, but I am not sure. I made also slides but they are not the quality as yours.
Warm regards

Hello friend Bulent,
A old picture for a old boat, this is very applicable.
You did very well with this scanned picture, certainly with the escutcheon as real eye catcher.
Excellent detailed and very good composed.
very well done, thanks for sharing.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hello Bulent Bey,
What can I say? The pov you have chosen to take this shot, the tight crop, and the lines, the ones entering the composition from the lower and upper right, the red portion of the vessel entering from the lower left are very nice and I don't think they are there by pure luck. Superbly shot.
I wish you an excellent weekend. Best personal regards. Salvator.

Hello Bülent,
It's hard to believe that this is a scan of a slide 35 years old. Those Kodachromes were really something and together with an excellent scan allow us to see that your talent for composing and shooting comes from far in time.
Insightful and interesting note note, as usual.
TFS, Regards, José.

Ahhh, the famous HMS Victory!
The ships of the line mounting more than a 100 guns were rare, being so heavy, and rarely seeing much action, being so expensive, but that one saw the greatest of sea battles of the age of sail, the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of the great
Admiral Nelson.
Very nice framing, as we've come to expect from you ;)
This is truly a massive ship I hope to be able to visit someday, the peak of full rigged ship evolution.

Hi Bulent!
Excellent "detail", despite the "mess" with the ropes in the background the eye "falls" straight away to this figurehead. Impressive quality for such an old scanned photo. Your note is, as always, very interesting! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

Bonjour Bulent,
Regards.

Bonjour, mon bon ami Bulent,

Ciao Bulent,
stupendous detail of the Victory, perhaps the most famous British war ship. Surely the most famous among the vessels of first rank of the '700. The particular one of the figurehead under the bowsprit magnificently opposes with the intersections of the ropes of manoeuvre. Very beautiful, compliments.
Ciao

Hi Bulent, A fine, if older photo it doesn't show. The story about the history of the ship and its importance to England at the time is excellent. Recently we visited the Marine Museum in Barcelona, after the conference there and they have a full sized Galleon inside. Wonderful place as Spain a seafearing nation. TFS. Murray.

Hi Bulent
In France we have The French victory names on streets or Railways station like Gare d'Austerlitz, avenue d'Iena, funny this difference :)
Very nice point of view on this part of the ship.
Very good scan quality.
Salam aleikum.

Nelson'in diye kalmis aklimda. Elinize saglik.
