[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, I finally got around to working on another of my Adam Burton style, Land's End shoot (at least that was what I was going for...). Hopefully this will spur me on to work on the other shots too.

I found the whole time I was there that evening, quite challenging. From getting over my vertigo fear (I was literally standing right on the edge of the cliffs. The trick is to keep repeating to yourself "How much do you want this shot??!!" :-D Helped me anyway.)

...to trying to get the correct exposure settings without any filters other than my polariser. I hopefully will go back one day with those ever so important ngrads.

Land's End is an amazing place to go for rugged cliff shots. Just don't be afraid of heights or dangerous cliff edges!

Rgds, Leilani

An excellent composition Leilani.
Colors and POV creat a superb atmosphere of beauty and mystery that is completed very well of the title and note.
Very well seen . Bravo
best regards Argyris

Hi Leilani,

Knowing how steep the Cornish cliffs are, you did well to get this shot! I like the atmosphere you've created with your long exposure and you've still managed to retain some detail in the water around the rocks. I don't know whether I'd crop some of the sky because it doesn't have much of interest in it apart from the subtle colours above the horizon.

I shall have to get down there!!

regards
Lindsay

Hello Leilani,
Browsing through your gallery and i see a lot of images with dark tones, strong contrast, deep colours. They create a certain mood and i a lot of them i am with you, they crete indeed a kind of magical feeling. Also in this one where the foreground is dark and moody while the top is much brighter. I like your composition lines with the rocks and ocean. Light in the sky (the orange glow) could perhaps a bit stronger to create a second part of light against all that blue...
Have a great weekend, Henk

Its a nice shot! Full of mood and atmosphere.
I like the arch formation as the focus, and the light and dark tones of blue are very nice to look at.
Cheers,
Dave

Ciao Leilani,
Brava!
A presto, Nino.
