Here you see a wonderful and amazing shot that I took on a forest in England, which was carpeted by an amazing sea of bluebells, standing there alone in that surreal place in total silence felt so magic and eerie, what else can I say? but amazing.

The Bluebell is a West-European bulb, which may bloom according to local climate and conditions, from the beginning of April to the end of May. It can be found throughout the British Isles in woods and hedgerows, I took this shot on the way to Eastbourne near the famous winnie the pooh village.

Britain is one of the Worlds strongholds for the Bluebell and we are are lucky to have many Bluebell woods left. The April/May spectacle of seeing a wood not only greening, but also 'blueing' is one of the joys of the year, on the hedgerow banks, the Bluebells often mix with red/pink Campions and white Cow Parsley in a display of National colours against a green background.

It is not surprising that the Bluebell is a popular flowers and in a recent survey search amongst 25.000 people by the charity "Plant life” for the most representative flower of various counties and districts, it was chosen so often, that it should probably rank side by side with the Rose as the national flower. In spite of its apparent abundance in parts of the country, conservationists are worried that the distinct British Bluebell is threatened, because it is hybridising freely with the Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica), which was introduced in this country as a garden flower.

Hello Joao,

congratulations on this great shot! You really have captured a sea of bluebells. I very much like the blue and green colours and the trees that add the necessary structure.

Hi Joao,
excellent surrounding atmosphere of nature and vegetation. The blue flowers create a wonderful and beautiful atmosphere, as if outside a carpet of flowers.
I like the so smooth but intense luminosity that she floods the image!

Un saludo, regards,

Jordi

What a colourful image, my friend!
This is the second time in one day that I see bluebells in TrekEarth. Both the posts were from England.
Wonderful natural carpet, need no cleaning, just making us happy! Saturated colours and fine details! Thanks for sharing.

Warm regards,
Athanasios.

Hello J.P.

Must be a dream come true...to be in the middle of a sea of bluebells.
The way you framed it,cutting the trees in a half and focusing more on the flower carpet.
Just a lovely image.I like it.

Kind regards
