[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A border collie has rounded up these sheep and seems to be double checking that they are well secure in their trailor cage. This was taken a couple of miles or so out of Caldbeck in Northern Cumbria. The collie had cleverly seperated these ewes from the main flock that you can see here

Hi Bev,

quite a moody photo! I think you have captured a decisive moment. And the dog has deserved some food and a place to rest. I not only like the dog but also the farm, because it looks so tidy.

Hi Bev.
A delightful daily life shot, despite the 'action' going away from the camera! I like the split into high road and low road here, and the way both curve away to the right. The full trailer tells us the dog's work has been done. The background of the grey house and bare trees is excellent. The atmosphere is quite wintry for mid-march. The only suggestion I would make is to perhaps sharpen it up a degree more.
Regards,
Andrew

Hello Bev,

You captured a beautiful scene full with motion by drivers and animals in natural colors, clarity and sharpness. Great addition of curve but it could be more better if you add also full view of curve. Excellent depth by road and barriers. Great one, congratulations.

Best Regards,

Ertugrul

What a wonderful daily life scene, Bev. I like the sombre colors and all the great lines and angles, the curves in the roads and fence. The patch of daffodils by the house is a nice sign of spring. The dog and the sheep remind me of the movie "Babe". One of my all time favorites ever. Very nicely done!! Many thanks and hope spring is in full bloom for you there.

Hello, Bev.

This is very nice indeed.

Lovely colours and a nice bucolic scene - almost like a Constable painting.

Nice detail in that stonework of the farmhouse and I think the curvature of the fence and the road help the composition a lot.

Excellent!

Best Wishes,

John.

I did not know that a dog was able to do this job ! (and I learned a new word - ewe, had to look into the dictionary) - a great subject, colours are very beautiful, architecture very special, I wish I could see more of the animals... Your TL photo is nice too but in a way I prefer this one, which is more special !
Compliments,
Cath.

Hi Bev!

Excellent title for this great daily life scene! Great framing and composition, beautiful colours, the sky is a little bit "washed out", but that's no big deal compared the complete and marvelous impression of the photo. Congratulations!

Hello Bev,
I love to see these collies at work;and as you say,the work is done.
The farm buildings are a nice feature to balance the scene.
What is pulling the trailer?
I like the division in the road, we wonder where the road leads to.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Wow, thats so old world and so well handled. i love the tones and the textures and the mood. Absolutely fantastic work. Great and well composed....and so English in the environs

Hello Bev
Nice scene of rural life, the dog is a very nice element on the composition
regards
Daniel

Great compo Bev, i really like how the road leads the eye away past the farm, and then we see the details on the right as well with the dog and sheep.
cheers
Leon

Hi Bev.
There is so much that is right about this shot. The composition is near perfect. The only way to improve it would be the weather and maybe a bit more dof using a f8 or f11, as the dog and foreground look slightly oof. Very good though.
