Photographer’s Note
Hello again after a very, very long break :)
I was quite busy with my other stuff that I completely forgot about posting on this site.
Few days ago I found my old login details and decided to show you some new shots I've done in the meantime
------------------------------------------------------
Ok - let's start with a first one
------------------------------------------------------
A brilliant (and very cold) morning in the Scottish Highlands.
After a long time of a completely hopeless weather there was a chance for some long awaiting change. I was quite fortunate to be in the field when it happened.
In the background you can see one of the most recognisable peaks here - famous Buachaille Etive Mor.
I know that this composition is very popular and not at all unique, but the geography of this place and its amazing popularity makes it really hard to create something extraordinary. In my opinion, however it is all about light and weather that makes a particular shot unique, so the possibilities are almost endless.
Hope you'll like it
Cheers, Piotr

Waow... this is sublime... I agree that the light make your photo unique but for me the composition is perfect to guide the sight to the mountain, enjoying the icy river. This is awesome.
D-16 for us before going there... Your photo make us even more excited !!! Cheers !!!
Have a good day,
Marion

Hello, Piotr.
This is just wonderful. It is perfectly exposed and sharp as a pin. The colours are fabulous and the composition is perfect.
I like the fact that you have exercised some restraint here. We see lots and lots of pictures of this particular scene (Buachaille Etive Mor) and similar scenes where the saturation and contrast have been wildly over-done. We see lots of HDR pictures too and I'm not that keen on them either. Unfortunately, these very artificial-looking pictures seem to attract a lot of attention and points.
For my part, I much prefer a picture such as this one - totally believable and just, well, beautiful - the way God made it.
Excellent!
Best Wishes,
John.

I stood in the very same spot during my 1st visit to the highlands some years ago but you got better image by far than I was able to capture. Great shot, excellent clarity, exposure and composition! Well done!

Wow, it is simply stunning shot of famous Buachaille Etive Mor. Even it is not the most unique composition, the ice and frost over the river makes it very special and original shot. Great work.Cheers, Lucie

The details in the ice, the stream leading to the peak and the clouds all contribute to a very nice composition.

Hi Piotr,
Great shot ! The composition drives our look to the mountains and gives a great DOF. The sharpness is perfect and I love the clouds around the mountains.

Fantastic composition and beautiful weather situation with this ice Piotr. I was thinking of a trip to Scotland this year but I may try to get across in the winter time to capture scene like this in the Highland. Excellent work.
