Photographer’s Note
This is one of the many pedestrian overpasses in Glasgow. Supposedly, it is the longest one, and it located near the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. I took this phote whilst visiting Glasgow last week, and quite liked the intense red of the arches and the faded red and green of the walking deck.
I hope you like this photo.

A good composition anyway.

Hi Martijn,

Hello Martijn,
One of the more colourful overpasses indeed!
But then why shouldn't we brighten the day when there is a possibility, hehehe...
I like the feeling of depth and the repetition effect!
Greetings,

The perspective of the image drags our eyes right into the scene. I love the colour and the repetiton. It is ever-so-slightly tilted. It possibly is more distortion than tilt as it is down at the left on the bottom step, but down on the right at the top. A tiny tweak with the transform tool would do the trick. Nevertheless a good image. Well done

I remember I saw this place on a CD cover of a scottish group named Benêche. Very nice graphical composition, with great colours.

I love red but don't seem to manage to get some in my pics:-)
This is very good Martijn. Strong graphism, well managed DOF, lovely mix of tones, if the person was a bit closer it would be even better, but already it is quite a sight. I've seen lately a great film over Glasgow, Red Road, do you know it ?

Kind regards

Martijn,
a very interesting shot with a lot of DOF. the play of geometric forms is perfect and I mean not only the red bows but also the white line in the middle spliting the grey and red ground into two portions. Th eperson at the end is another important element to enhance the feeling of depth.

I do like this photo, however i don't like the way the council has painted the two different colours on the actual walk-way, it was much better before when there was only one colour.

Very nice composition using both the tunnel effect of the bridge, and the red arches supporting the roof. The character in the back gave a excellent depth to the image.
All the best,

Hi Martijn, Well created prospective as the eye follows down the path through these red arches, the person at the end is a great finish, the light is very good & wonderful overall colour, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

hello Martijn,
I understand very well why you took this photo, the hypnotic appeal of the colours and patterns is irresistable. I like the symmetry and the strong tunnel effect, they work well to emphasise the abstraction of the scene, while the person just in the right place lets the viewer to appreciate the scale and also makes the photo more lively. very well seen and presented, my compliments.
regards,
Kristine
