Photographer’s Note
Taken during the brief snowfall last month in Derrymore woods in bessbrook Co Armagh at sunrise.
A picturesque wood owned by the National trust that has the popular attraction of Derrymore House.
Bessbrook is situated in South Armagh about 5km west of Newry. It is passed on the S by the A25 and on the E by the B133 but neither road enters the village. The site was chosen in the mid-19th century to build a large linen factory and the core of the "Model Village" dates from the second half of that century. Most of the original village still exists and there are many modern additions.
Thanks for looking :)

You must really like this spot, and I do too thanks to your posts. Different shots in different weather and light conditions are very interesting and the composition and POV are great. The warm pink light makes it so different to the earlier shot with the cooler palette.
Thanks

Hi Gary,
Another gorgeous shot at the sunset hour. Great details and I really like the deep rich colors and hour your composed the shot - doesn't get much better than that. Great work and TFS. Gerald

Hi Gary,
This is an amazingly pretty image.....chocolate box perfect....which is made so by the wonderful colours and lighting. The compo is excellent with a great textured look in the road surface, the tree branches providing a border, and the gate posts and fencing adding some interest. Very well done.
Cheers Grant

Hi Gary
I like the way this tree frames the gate and the light speaks for itself. I have clients who hail for County Armagh.

Hi Gary this shot of yours has very fine detail and excellent colour. The composition with the open gate with the muddy track and the tree framing the right and top is almost inviting us in. This is awesome. Very excellent presentation.
Thanks, John

hello Gary,
beautiful view, I like a lot how you used the tree to frame the path that nicely leads the eye into the shot. even in Black&White this would be a captivating scene, but the pink makes the photo exceptional. very well seen and presented, my compliments.
with kind regards,
Kristine

Hi Gary,
Very nice. We did not have snow long enough here this winter to be able to get such a composition. The one day of snow, everyone was outside, so empty landscapes were virtually impossible to find.
I do like the compo with the tree heavy to the right and the path leading the eye. The top right is a slight bit too dark for me, but that's all.
Greetings, Dennis

A wonderful scene Gary, with the beautiful colours of the sunrise making a great backdrop for the trees and snow covered ground.
The path invites us to investigate and see what is beyond.
Great sharp quality.
Tfs, regards Jean.
