Derrymore House in Bessbrook, N Ireland is typical of the informal thatched retreats, or cottages ornées, boasted by many estates in the 18th century. It was built in a picturesque woodland setting by Isaac Corry, who represented Newry in the Irish House of Commons for 30 years from 1776.

the panoramic crop boosts this composition. The exposure is perfect and I like the way the golden colors repeat from the left side to the right side (sun / house).

A very nice composition especially with the sun behind the trees.
The yellow colour of the house gives a "sunny and warm" feeling, even though it must have been rather chilling.

Very interesting shot, with that long horizontal frame. The scene doesn't really lend itself to that type of frame, yet you make this work. The sun on one side of the picture and the orange building on the other side tends to balance the scene. Nice use of the road to lead us into the scene too. Great work!
