Photographer’s Note
Trinity Church is a Methodist and United Reformed church situated next to the New Riwer in Enfield, on the outskirts of North London in the county of
Middlesex.
I chose the sepia effect because I think it is more misterious.
In my WS, can you see the colors version and different frame.

Liliana,
the sepia choice isn't just better because of the more mysterious impression, but also due to the terrible light that you got in the sky. The conversion to monochromatism is always a very good choice in such predicaments of overexposed light.

Hello Liliana, a very well compensated framing .... the tree, the girl, the church .... three definite well planes and an image that to be of color seems an agreement to cuttlefish, I like much.
Felicidades.
Un saludo.

The choice of the sepia was very good as the original does not have much colour and the sky looks a bit washed. The sharpness is excellent and let us see all the details of the façade. The subtle inclusion of that person is excellent too to give a right idea of the church size. Well done.

Hi Lili,
Given the dull sky a good idea to go sepia, nice church, ideally it would have been good to detach the church spire from the branches but it seems difficult from there even taking a lower position.
Have a nice day JY

Good choice of presentation. The signs don't stick out at you and we pay more attention to the detail in the church.
Nicely done Lili.

Hi Lili, do you remember ? When i critiqued the picture "leaving reality" i told you it would have at least one green star, it have now 8 ! :-)
I think this one will have less than 8 green stars but it's still a good one, sepia's spirit, a good compo with that tree in foreground that gives texture to the compo.
A good one

Hi Lili,
It is indeed a pleasant scene. I like the fact that there is life in the photo, represented by the single person - this makes the photo twice as good. I may have chosen black and white rather than sepia personally, because I just like the tonal range better. One thing that is good about the sepia is that it compliments the texture of the stonework material used to construct the church. The placement of the tree is quite good, it balances the spire efficiently. Just be careful about the sky overexposure, it is difficult to get right, I know, but perhaps a time of day with for favorable (lower) lighting would help this improve capture.

Hi Liliana
I like the looming effect created by the tower and the texture you have chosen as it renders a feeling of old times. The branches of the tree create a beautiful frame and the figure of the person adds a warmth to the composition

Hi Liliana,
I thing the large tree and framing it provides is perfect for this fine image of the large church. Great details and textures. Fine shot and TFS. Gerald

Ciao Lili,

Hi Liliana,
Always interesting to see the original colour version, in order to compare the results and visualize the adaptation. It also allows to appreciate the post processing involved.
This is a carefully built composition, with a tree used as a foreground element and a natural accessory to frame the building. The delicate branches are also well located to close the top and keep the eye in the scene, without masking too heavily the bell tower. Another tree next to the church on the left serves as a pleasing visual buffer. Stylish subject is discreet in proportion, but welcomed in the image.
Buenas Dimanchini! (invented language... :-P)

J’aime beaucoup le ton obtenu par ton traitement qui restitue très bien l’effet « photo ancienne »,
Très bonne composition également de ton image avec la présence humaine et l’arbre au premier plan,
Chouette image !

Hi Liliana,
This photo is just great. I think that sepia realisation suits perfect there. And this is a great example how we can achieve perfect result with a relatively “simple” camera. All that words about SLR-s don’t count when I look on pictures like that. Great sharpness, perfect light and beautiful subject.
Thank you very much,
Dmitri

Lili, you have so many wonderful images in your gallery. When I first saw the thumbnail for this one I thought maybe the sky was overexposed and it wasn't going to be such a good shot. But when I opened it full size I saw that I was wrong. The sepia conversion works well with the white sky and the composition generally is excellent. I like the inclusion of the girl, and I really like that tree on the right.
Well done.

Hello Liliana -
This is the one that I prefer, nice selection. The sky was not a lot of help on this day but that's England for you. You did a very good job of light management as there is some detail in the sky. Selecting a B&W with sepia was a good way to handle the sky. The sepia also gives an older quality and maybe looks like one of your old postcards. Excellent sharpness and nice composition. Well done!
Thank you for Sharing
