This picture is taken on the way of Edinburgh Castle. The picture shows the corner that connects the Mound Pl. and the Ramsey Ln. in the direction of Edinburgh Castle. Short days of winter’s low and oblique light reflect from the road.

This is a much under-rated shot but one which I like a lot.

The lighting is superb and great considering it was taken at very nearly the shortest day of the year. Fabulous low-angle lighting with fantastic reflections off those wet cobblestones.

Perfect exposure and lovely subdued colours too. It is indeed dark, but I'm sure that's what you intended: there is, however, still plenty of retained details in the shadows.
