Taken about 500 yards from my previous shot in Derrymore woods in bessbrook Co Armagh.
A picturesque wood owned by the National trust that has the popular attraction of Derrymore House.
Bessbrook is situated in South Armagh about 5km west of Newry. It is passed on the S by the A25 and on the E by the B133 but neither road enters the village. The site was chosen in the mid-19th century to build a large linen factory and the core of the "Model Village" dates from the second half of that century. Most of the original village still exists and there are many modern additions.
Thanks for looking :)

The colors are incredible. The grass seems like a carpet. And the sun is very nice among the branches of the tree,

An enchanting shot: a story to create...
the open gate is a way out towards freedom and nature or a secret place to go in to discover beauty?

Wonderful colours and composition. The opened gate invites me to come and sit by the tree. Thanks for showing. Regards!

Lovely colors, what a nice moment to capture, that open barrier really did the trick. It"s a great atmosphere.

This is a beautiful point of view with the open gate leading the eye towards the tree.
The frozen grass gives a lovely cold aspect of a proper winter day.
And the sky offers a fantastic range of colours.
Very well done

Great winter photo, the sky is red but the ambient gives the photo cool and unique look

This is really something amazing! A beautiful shot, with wonderful soft light and subtle colour. I like the composition, with the tree in the centre and the fence framing it on each side. The frost on the landscape gives this an extra special appearance. Stunning!

A very welcoming sort of open gate image with rich colors, although not entirely natural to my eye. The vertical format works well here and the early morning frost covering adds a nice touch. Fine shot and TFS. Gerald

The open gate symbolizes an entrance to you photo, it is very welcoming. The grasses look great clad in the moisture (I am not sure if it is actually frost crystals, but I assume it is). Your black framing is superb, the title is well centered and a good font was chosen. The twin trees are beautiful, silhouetted against one another for a dual layering sort of effect. Very pleasing colours, they are soft up close but are definite when viewed from a distance. Very sharp and clear imagery, a complete success.

La composition est très réussi, le filtre dégradé donne un aspect très plaisant et les couleurs sont superbes.

It seems the frosted pasture land is shining in the morning sun. Colour of the sky is really beautiful.
It's great that the gate is open, and it leads our eyes to the colour.
Have a nice weekend, Hisashi

I also like the cold winters morning posting as well. Especially the moss on the tree. But this one wins me over because of the toning of the sky. That really does it for me! Nice!
