Photographer’s Note

Imagine you'd live in this house, overlooking the sea. What a wonderful place to live! The weather was quite bad that day, so it looks more like it's the house of a bad witch or another dark character from a fairytale. On sunny days, it must be like paradise.
This house is situated on the coast of the Isle of Iona, a very small and peaceful island in the Inner Hebrides. People come to the Isle of Iona for its tranquility and stunning nature.

How a tranquil place! The empty beach and the small house give peace to the photo.
I like the tiny blue hole in the sky and the frame too.

Hello Anouk,

A great composition taken from a well chosen viewpoint.

The FG rocks and the distant mountains give a good sense of perspective.

The house is well placed in the frame, and the line of rocks leads the eye nicely across the picture.

Some nice soft colours, but I think the image could be given a bit more impact with some fairly simple PP.

I will try a WS for you.
