Looking towards Helvellyn, from Angle Tarn.

Like in the previous posting, the shapely peak of Catstycam is clearly visible, standing out amongst it's whale-backed neighbours.
Often bypassed for it's higher companions, Catstycam is a fine climb in it's own right, and can be combined easily with the classic Striding Edge - Helvellyn - Swirral Edge route.

Nice undulating mountain range in shades of silhouettes against the stunning sky. Simple composition with powerful impression.

A fine landscape, Ben. You show off not only the range well, but you’ve also done a nice job with those richly colored banks of clouds. You chose an excellent time of day to get the shot, and I think you took this exposure at just the right moment.
