Photographer’s Note

Shanklin beach on the Isle of Wight has some pretty large cliffs at the southern end and whenever we have strong winds and heavy rain combined, there ends up being a landslide or cliff fall.
This shot was taken 1 day after a massive gale in December 2007, there were many trees that had fallen and some were on the beach, although this one had fallen a long time ago but the huge waves dragged it down the beach and dumped it next to this wooden groin.
I thought it would make an interesting, if a little boring shot!

I used an ND8 Graduated filter
