HI John,

Even when looking at the thumbnail of this shot I knew it is Velvia: the way it records the colour in the foreground and shades of grey in the sky is so typical for this emulsion. The composition is really nice, and I mean nice...image I would be happy to hang on the wall in my living room and spend countless hours looking at it. Beautiful.

Hi John,

I'm very glad to see you are still using F4. Regarding your captures you really are one with it. This capture surely can show that. Great POV and ambient light with very (for me) unusual vegetation.

Kind regards,
Jeri

Hi John,

Even this might not be the best quality photo as we are used to, Velvia works really well here. You've nicely captured the wilderness of Scottish landscape as I have experienced many times. TFS. Lucie

The wide angle lens gives a real sense of distance regarding the tide and there is strong colour in the FG.

Hi John,
I really love the way you approach landscapes. You seem to always find interesting foregrounds...I guess these are algae in beautiful colors and textures, then the wide sea, I like the low pov. In any case the colors are superb as is the silent meditative mood even if the quality of the scan is not the best. I would love to see this for true and on paper.:-) The names make me dream...

Best regards

Again a very special atmpsphere in this picture too. I like the wide angle lens POV, with focused foreground. The black clouds and the Velvia give the special touch.
