[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lots of ponies roam wild in the New Forest, and are surprisingly tame, and generally don't mind someone getting close up and snapping away. This is pretty much as shot, with a bit of vibrance & sharpening added (I'm new to photoshop so not quite sure how best to use it yet...).

Hello Tim,
Welcome to Trek Earth. This is a great shot to start your journey with on this photo forum! This is an excellent photo with outstanding perspective and sharpness. Well done!

Hi Tim,

A very competent and technically good image. Nice 'sign-on'. I recently took some similar shots of these wonderful creatures.

I like your point / angle of view. The eye is pin sharp and f9 with a wide lens will get almost everything in focus.

(One of my favourite tricks is to use selective focus so that only what you want in focus is in focus - but it's not universally popular with landscapers!)

Anyway, looking forward to more posts.

Regards, Paul.

Welcome Tim to TE, this is a lovely shot of a pony.I like your PoV.The texture of its coat is so sharp. The colours are natural. The bright blue sky makes a wonderful bg.
Tfs, regards Jean.
