Probably the two most common types of tube travellers shown here, one happily reading the paper despite the jam packed carriage, and the other obviously fed up with it all.

Hi Brendan,
I'm like the one on the left... I always read newspaper in the train.
Good close framing, nice textures and colors.
Good picture on the newspaper, nice to see only this face.

Hi Brendan, what a nice shot of these misterious people in the underground, in a way that is exactly we see eachother on the train, I also like your composition and POV, well done, thanks for sharing it with us, regards, Joao Salas

That's awesome. Even though it's illogical, you can't help but imagine that the unseen reader of the newspaper looks exactly like the picture. Maybe because they are both dressed in black. Nice idea. The image shows just enough to suggest the story. Well done. -Hugh

amazing crop brendan... the compo looks so simple but it is very sophisticated i think, it tells a lot in this very tight frame... i like the upside guy also looking right into my eyes, i gues he dint like me>:P... i dont know why but i like this shot a lot mate...

cheers

Six hands and only one face, and surprisingly its the newspaper that is looking back at us. I think this is an excellent shot Brendan. I would never have thought of this composition. Very interesting work.

Hello Brendan - good to see your new post. The anonymity of the lack of heads gives a true sense of what its like riding public transport in the big city, nothing very glamorous about it at all. The two moods conveyed by the body language really tells it all. I think I am more like the fellow on the right when it comes to subways. :) Nice touch with image on the paper, to give this whole scene a "face". Did you just happen upon it or was he stuck on that page the whole time?

Hi Brendan,

What I like here is the gaze of the picture in the newspaper. And the fact that the person in the picture is wearing black and the person reading as well.
It feels a slight bit like almost a reflection of the reader in the newspaper. Which is in a broad sense true. You do choose a certain newspaper over others because it reflects parts of your personality and your viewpoints in life... I'm not sure you looked at this photograph in that way. But I do. Nice one with a deeper meaning - perhaps. ;-)

Greetings,
Dennis

Great shot Brendan! The way the guy in the newspaper looks at us is very haunting. So simple, yet so powerful. Like it a lot!

Hi Brendan,
A creative approach here to behead these chaps, and to show on ly this face on the newspaper. You must have been pretty close!
I read somwhere that the most common pastime in the tube is perving...
Nicolas

Hi Brendan, love the really tight framing you've chosen here. The combination of colours works really well too. The bonus are the colours in the portrait on the newspaper reflecting the colours in the shot itself. Excellent! Best regards, Roberto

Very unique shot of daily life transportation. Commuting via public transport can get on even the brightest optimist's nerves. I like this shot, with the dark coloured clothes, and the newspaper. Very effective shot. And so crisp.

Regards,
David

super cool one, it is especially interesting that we do not see any face except the very expressive one from the paper, great one...

Hi Brendan!
I have got a lot of inspirations by tube too!
I like your crop and frame that u added.
