Nice an funny shot! Non common way to show Walles !
Good light, good WB and perfect sharpness regarding the speed !!
Just perhaps a POV issues as the girls are a bit too much centered and with 16/9 frame the feeling of cold could have been more intence. But it's an instant cut and it's easy to speak after . Well done anyway & Good job !
Waht do you mean by so many people have left TE ?

Hi Maciej, this is an excellent shot of these two trying to stay warm. Taking the shot at night, and with rain makes it seem even colder, though they look plenty cold as it is. Great colour, in a great composition.
Thanks, John

Pozdrawiam!

I really like your choice of post processing here - There is something really nice about the way the two girls are so prominent in the scene. I like the inclusion of the (ever present) roadworks plastic things.. I think it is a little empty on that side even though you have that couple walking through the area.

But they seam to be quite comfortable anyway. The amazing thing here is the beautiful colours and the excellent light. Well done.

I think you've actually done a pretty
damn good job here, Maciej!
Two things:
1) the light; seems more like a daylight
or 'early-in-the-morning' light and I
can't decide whether it's because of
your f/stop vs ISO settings or later
PP-ing... but it gives the scene a
surreal look,
- the couple; even a bit centered, I don't
really mind as they're well balanced in
comparison with another two couples and
this light on them really makes them stand
out in the scene.
Good colouring (although it might work well
in b/w, too) and lovely horizontal balance
between signage (KINGSWAY, RAHEEM & BAUHAUS).
Don't know who's left TE, but I know many of
them got fed up a bit with the website becoming
so huge and besides, people have other things to
do in their lives as well - and Christmas is
approaching, so... these might be the reasons
as well, no?
Best regards,
Robi

Hello Maciej,
Interesting subject...girls waiting for the bus after the disco (i suppose)...the 35 f1.4 is the ultimate weapon for night street shots,

Yes, I am always amazed when I go home as to why girls even in winter dress as if they are on a tropical beach. Haunting colours Maciej capturing this intimate moment.

Hello Maciej! Mid November ... British girls never seem to be cold ... :) I have been over too many times to realize that. I find this pink light and the shine of the wet street gives an urban mood, very lonely in a way, although the two seem to enjoy each others company, sharing secrets maybe. Excellent study ... Have a good afternoon, Barbara.

What a magnificent photo! What a magnificent appearance! Two snuggled up beauties the one against the other one... I like this unreal light... I look at them and she does not see me... she does not see you...
Congratulations...

It's cool to see that you still go out at night in Cardiff. I guess by now you are an accepted presence wherever you go... :) Love the colors here. And the composition too. Your placement of the bus stop is great. And the girls inside it, you know, they elevate your picture to a great level. Fine work.

Ha! I forgot people don't get cold over there...
This is recognisably yours, although I can't pin down exactly why. Perhaps to do with the night light of Cardiff - you make 2:30am seem like daytime!
Yeah - TE's changed now. It was time for that, I suppose. A little sad, nevertheless.

Bonjour Maciej,
so many people have left TE....
But I'm glad to see that you are still posting here.
I think I can agree with Greg that you have the ability to let us think that daytime instead of 2:30am and I was also almost sure it was your work. It's a great picture indeed!

Mid-November in the UK does sound quite chilly to me, but those young girls certainly take fashion over function to new heights. Even the unprotected bus shelter makes the scene appear even colder than it really is. Huddled together like that, it works well with your note...

THat's a very cool one, though your title and note are kind of melancolic and nostaligic. ok, the girls are great subject to shoot, but there clothes are even more interesting with flashy colors that echo with street lights. All of this is very sexy, including wet floor reflecting light. I LOVE IT!!! :)
Keep your passion for photograph and keep posting :-)
All the best,
Pris.

Dear Maciej
some people left TE but plese you do stay! You are posting not very often, but you always create masterpieces.
Here everything is interesting and i wish to guess how you managed it without the couple noticed you. There is a great echnical skill to make such a picture, but a greater skill in the choice of the subject. I love you!

As far as I know, only the brits stroll naked by sub zero temperatures... I have never quite understood how they manage? alcohol? indifference to low temps? pure madness? or just being thrifty to avoid paying for the cloakroom?
The light is just incredible in this shot! an outstanding technical achievement as well as aesthetical.
So many have left but you know where to join the club, don't you?

Light and colours are fantastic...
Difficult to believe that this was taken in November, they don't seem to feel the cold weater, maybe because they are so taken by their conversation !
With admiration,
Cath.

This is so British...not letting the lousy weather getting in the way of wearing a sexy party dress, even if it means shivering in a bus shelter. Who needs coats!?
Absolutely wonderful shot, Maciej. It reminds me of celebrating New Year's Eve in Liverpool, where I immediately stood out as a foreigner, because I was probably the only one who had even considered wearing a coat, when it was only -10°C...and party night!
Yours is a gallery to return to. A real gem!
Benny
