A heavily polarised, under-exposed shot, but it looks great, revealing the highlights very impressively. Delightful flashes of bright colour, and excellent composition. I really like the water and the sky in this photo. Very well done.

Beautiful picture of the Thames and Londoen Eye. This has been shown here many times. But you have such a rare clear weather that it makes a difference. Summer sunshine at it's best.

De prime abord je me suis dit que la roue était trop centrée. En fait, il n'en est rien car l'ensemble de la roue du batiment et du bateau à bande rouge décentre la composition. Beau ciel déchiré de cirrus. De magnifiques couleurs complétent l'ensemble.

Hi JB,

Did you take this one from a boat as well?! You're so close to the other two vessels. Great view with the two vessels in the foreground though - love the little red reflection of the line on the boat.
I've been in London already several times, but never in the London Eye. Might have something to do with a slight fear of height ;-). Did you go in it?! And more important; Did you then take pictures??!! :-)

It is probably the best photo of that bar, I mean the London’s Eye, I have ever seen on TE. Everything is by the book, composition, colours, definition, etc, etc. Another one for the favourite list. Well done.

Superb special colors and light. I must buy a filter like this myself-I like the effect ! Excellent dark blue sky, silver water, boats and, of course, the great wheel.

Photo classique d'un lieu très touristique de Londres: touristique mais tellement cher que nous avons décidé avec mon épouse d'aller plutot dans le pub (le bateau que tu as photographié) plutot que dans les nacelles de London Eye.

J'aimes beaucoup les couleurs de fin d'après midi.

Pas mal du tout ca comme vue, on a vraiment l'impression que le london eye est un gros ventilateur a nuages, j'aime bien !

On a déjà eu l'occasion de voir plusieurs fois cette vue de Londres sur TE mais je dois dire que j'aime particulièrement ta version. La composition est vraiment très bonne et tu as magnifiquement exploité la superbe lumière du moment. Très beau travail!

A nice shot JB, quite a stock standard kind of image of the London Eye, but the sharpness and the yellow touch to it is still quite appealing. I know how hard it can be to get a blue sky over here as well!

Hi JB,
Back to the heavy contrast and saturation. We have seen many times the London Eye, but here it is shown in all his glory in front of a very deep blue sky. The boats in front and even more the sign "Bar Open" is a very nice detail, i like that.

another version of London's Eye. Amazing how many different views of this place can be presented at TE. The clarity of the colors and the contrast that you achieved in this image is outstanding. Wonderful weather conditions that you got to achieve such a beautiful complementary sky for the scene on the water and shore.

Bonjour mon ami JB,
tu as mélangé avec beaucoup d'élégance la grande roue et sa belle géométrie, avec la scène des bateaux dans la Tamise, et l'architecture qui nous pouvons voir à l'arrière-plan. La somme de ces éléments nous offre un ensemble graphique splendide, dans une composition qui a une grande illumination et des couleurs magnifiques.
Le ciel est très bien polarisé et ajoute qualité et beauté à ton travail.
Une belle photo.

une jolie lumière et un bon choix du cadrage grand angle. Le ciel est très beau... le 05/08/2007 j'étais en vacances (en France) et j'étais plutôt sous la pluie.

Bravo pour cette prise de vue. La roue semble être un vortex qui aspire les nuages ! Tu as été là au bon moment au vu de cette lumière chaude et rasante qui éclair la scène. Du très beau travail !
