Photographer’s Note

No fancy title for this one im afraid!
This was taken during the evening back in April of this year (2007).
It was quite scary to be honest as i was perched on the cliff top with a strong wind blowing from behind me.
I used 2 filters back to back to allow this shot to work, i used an ND8 and an ND4 Graduated filter to prevent the moon from over exposing.

By the way, that small dot half way down the sky is Venus!

Wow, wonderful capture. The composition is so nice, with the coast leading the eye towards the horizon and on up to the crescent mooon. Well done!

wow, what an awesome nightshot! :-) terrific how the two blues of the sky and the water are separated by an orange band.
well composed with the cliffs coming in from the right leading the view to the back with the great moon
perfectly placed in the upper left corner. superb job & best wishes, thor.

Hi Jamie,

Very nice work again. Yes, ND and ND Grad filters are really nice to have. They also saved me in several occasions. Alternative is to go for multiple exposures and the cut and past and/or photomerge, but that does not make it any more beautiful either... This surely is beautiful!!
