Photographer's Note
Another shot from my recent visit to the majestic Eilean Donan castle in Scotland, this was about the only light I got all day.
I was here with my wife Fiona, who posts on here as flosoup, so you may notice some similarities to her shot of the same castle.
Thanks

Hi Patrick,
nice landscape picture. Interesting composition with also interesting colors. A bit more sharpness would support the mood.

Hi Patrick,
A nice and well composed shot ! Your POV is good, the dark sky gives the atmosphere. Maybe it less just a little light on the castle to be perfect but I like it however.

Stéphanie.

Lovely composition Patrick the wide angle lens gives it so much more depth than my wee W7. Perfectly moody.

HI,
A well chosen viewpoint giving a sweeping wide view and nicely composed with good natural colour.
The halo from processing around the castle is a bit distracting for me though. The atmosphere of antiquity could be conserved by removing the modern rooftops on the far right. Could be just a touch sharper. Thanks.
Dougie.

Hi Patrick
Not easy to do a picture of something that is photographed so often, how to make it different?
And you succeded very well.
The composition is classical, the diagonal line leading to the castle well placed and strong.
The rocks in the foreground, I do not remember seeing them before are providing balance to the photo.
And the light is what is creating the mood, help in that by the dark clouds.
I like it very much
Well done

Hi Patrick!
What for an unreal place! Looks like a scenery taken from a fairytale or a fantasy film. Very nice shot, with good use of the wide angle.

It could be a smidgen sharper, but I also don't see any halo around the castle, and barely noticed the modern rooftops.
