Photographer’s Note

Although Monday night was the official Guy Fawkes night, Saturday was used to celebrate the day with fireworks happening all around the city. This image was taken an Alexandra Palace, where one of the major firework displays were held.

Clever. Very clever Brendan. This is not a regular fireworks shot. This is a great study over the red color. And placing this couple in profile filled with a deep black was really the way to go. Blood red vs thick black: a mystical combination. Like it a lot. You're really pushing it hard, shot after shot. Very good!

I like the way you composed this picture, as the fireworks, still being the subject, introduce the couple which is also the subject of this picture. A nice feedback ! Each one needs the other, and it would be meaningless withour the other. Very interesting

Fantastic shot, Brendan. That red burst is perfect above the couple. I have never shot fireworks but I guess I would never pull such a shot off. This is a beautiful hot one.
