Photographer’s Note
This picture is of the entrance to the harbour at Port Patrick, a small village in South West scotland. The natural rock formation provides a safe haven for boats, this has been built upon over the years with the construction of a small port which has integrated the natural rock formation into a man made structure. Northern Ireland can be seen in the distance over the right hand side of the rock. I like it, hope you do.

Hi Gavin,
Very unusual subject, which must be fascinating to see first hand. Nice hues to the sea and sky in this shot, flag adds focal point, interesting note too.
Keep Posting

Howdy Doody Gav,
What a bizarre rock formation - looks man made although it's natural as you say in the note.
Good capture and good note to accompany the photograph.
Every time I look at this shot I can't help but notice that the sea line is missing from the first gap in the rocks to the left hand side of the formation - was Moses on his way over from Ireland?
Take a close look and see if you get what I am on about - it's as if the sea level has dropped but it's obvioulsy an optical illusion.
Anyway, keep em coming and arl that like,
Cheers
Neil...
