The most famous and cute scottish animal.

Undeniably Scottish cows are very important elements of scottish landscapes, especially in Highlands.

They are also the oldest known cattle breed. Despite their long horns, they are gentle and easily handled. Their long bangs (dossan) protect eyes while shorter legs mean fewer foot and leg problems.

They are known for their gentle disposition, hardiness in adverse weather conditions and strong resistance to disease. They are able to adapt to a variety of climates including harsh, cold climates where other cattle breeds might not survive.

As a specific brown animals they are well introduced to beautiful scottish fields in green valleys.

I met this one on Isle of Skye. Its colour was so uncommon, almost like chocolate.

Hope you like it. Regards

Hello Patryk,
perfect, perfect cow! Very nice portrait!
Julia

Hi Patryk,
She is indeed cute, you have caught the typical expression..the detail but most of all your composition is just right.

She seems like a preetier cousin of the black coloured Indian water buffalo..who though by no means pretty definitely resembles this one..the expression esp.
Really enjoyed this pic..

Very nice. I love the out of focus blade of grass in the foreground and the mountains in the background, with the cow in such sharp focus and contrast. I also really like the way the light is warm and casts such interesting shadows on the cows body and makes her nose glisten. Very cool pic. In terms of composition, I would have liked to see the cows rear almost at the left edge of the frame and more negative space to the right of her nose. But still a really nice pic.

Ahah cute cow!! She was smiling at you, I see it!
Great capture, I'm envious!

Hi Patryk!
I like this cow, it's so different from ours here. Good shot, I like the blurred background. Well done!

Hi,
You're braver than me! Some great colours here. The expression on its face is brilliant! Nice one. Thanks.
Dougie.

Hi Patryk,
I never thought I would call an adult cow cute, but so she is! Regarding the picture, I agree with the others that it's great to focus so closely on the cow (shallow depth of field), and your perspective from below is awesome. I think the composition is just right. Thanks for the laugh!
