Photographer’s Note

Continuing with my Scotland pictures. As commented in my previous postings, Plockton and the neighbourhood of Kyle of Lochalsh were very productive, because I found the light I was after. A photographer gets never tired in such situations, our excitement is on High Alert, because we know that some good shots are on the agenda on that day.
This one was such a day.

Lovely rich colours of the boat and vegetation in the foreground. I like how the light brings out the yachts. Nice contrasts too.

Mrhaba Izzet. It's that masterly touch that makes the difference. I am referring to the boat that blends with the rocks and seaweed, yet at the same time that streak of blue lifts it from that connection.The yachts in the distance are a lovely addition and so is the vivid blue of the sky. Amazing vertical landscape here. Great light, sky and colours. I like specially the detail of this little boat between the plants, with the same colour as them.

Izzet, I totally agree with your note. On such a day as you got it here and with such nice landscape and details in it I would have gone crazy too. The light might be a little bit on the harsh end here but not enough to compromise the overall impression of the most gorgeous look out with the boat as an important foreground element. The blue in the bottom part of the boat is quite curious.

Hello Izzet. I know this place, it's just around the corner from the Eilean Donan Castle. About 12 years ago the village of Plockton featured in a TV series called 'Hamish Macbeth'. The photo has wonderful colour and that superb shadow over the hill cast by the clouds. It looks almost like a painting.

Simply a masterpiece. The composition is textbook, even the small masts in the distance do not overlap, and the use of light, the colors, the pov, are sooooo beautiful, so expertly.
Not much to say really, it is WONDERFUL.
