This Small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) is spread out on a block of concrete trying to get warm. the day was very typical for this summer a lot of cloud with a few breaks to let the sun through. So to get warm they are often seen on sold objects that absorb warmth and raidiate it back like walls, stones,tree trunks and even things like this piece of concrete. Its a way of getting up to working temperature when there is no direct sun. Considering they seem to be one of the first and last butterflies to be seen every year they have to have a quick way of warming up, he Darter Dragonflies do the same and they too manage to be the last ones flying.

Burntool 15% and soft brush to a couple of the bright broken bit of concrete on the surface.
Sharpen edges then fade back to 75%
USM 100% X 1.2px radius X threshold 8, then fade back to 55%
