Photographer’s Note
This is one of this years Tadpoles freshly emerged from a pond in somebodies Garden in the niegbourhood as my Mums garden doesnt have a pond.It is one lucky little frog as you can see he has small bits of grass stuck to him this is because I had just passed over him with a large ride on lawnmower while mowing 1.5 acres of grass, and only noticed him as I turned round for the next cut and he moved, by the way he is only just over 1cm / 1/2inch long, so not much chance of seeing him.
adjustments.
crop , sharpen edges and USM + fade back to 50%

I had to remark on your photo as I just spent quite a time trying to capture a picture of one of our little frogs in our yard! However mine would never hold still long enough to get the shot. You are right, he is a lucky little guy! I just can't come with anything to possibly change about your little photo. How fortuitous to see it as you are mowing such a large yard!

Wow, yes, this tadpole is lucky and you Rob also when capturing it. He is a very small creature and however, thanks to your camera I can appreciate the details of their eyes, the reflections in their look, and that special border around their body, as yellow light around their body, I like the form a lot in that its hands hold the grass. The form in that the one emerges of the grass, the one poses survivor, impactante. Thank you to share this image with us. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Yes, they're small still. I caught one about this size by our pond recently, but he hopped off my hand again, and apart from that I've only ever seen the back of them.. So, it's nice to see a front view for once ;-)) Good sharpness and DOF and the photo shows his ability to blend in very well.

Actually, your title should have been: A close shave! Nice one in the environment.

That's the spirit Rob, never mind the lawn moving when there's a little fellow around :o) You caught him very well, it shows just how small and fragile he is exellent POV.
