Quote of the day,
There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story.
Linda Hogan:

This is a mustard field in West Sussex it is specially beautiful on a bright day as it really contrasts the mustard yellow against the sky blue, mustards are several plant species whose small mustard seeds are used as a spice and, by grinding and mixing them with water, vinegar or other liquids, are turned into a condiment also known as mustard. The seeds are also pressed to make mustard oil, and the edible leaves can be eaten as mustard greens, the uk in specially famous for producing a type of mustard called Colmans which is made in Norwich and which is quite hot.

Hi Joao, this colour is incredible, almost blinding. You are right about the contrasts seen between these fields and the sky. This is great colour. I think if I was to try to take this shot, I would try to get lower, down to field level to almost fill the frame with yellow and reduce the bush behind and the sky. It is the mustard that is the shot in this one. From a textural point of view you might take this on a tripod with a smaller aperture and longer time, and see if you could increase the light a bit and the depth of field as well. If you were to do some work in PP, you might throw a little more light into the brush. The sky and mustard are good. Still a good shot, I like those contrasts.

Thanks, John
