Taken at Dunstanburgh, on the Northumberland Coast one evening in May, while the pink Sea Thrift visible in the foreground was in flower.
I used a 0.9 Neutral Density Grad filter to hold the detail in the sky, which was much brighter than the foreground. An 81b warm-up filter was also used, although looking at the photo, a stronger 81c might have been better.

This is really nice James. The bright colors are very appealing and balance well the cloudy blue sky. I' like perspective from the shore giving a sense of place with the ruins in the background. The DOF is good, but the flowers and foreground seem a bit blurred to my eye.

I think the Norththumbrian tourist people would like to use this as a postcard for the area it is enchanting, showing the best of the wide open wild landscape of that piece of coast.
