Hi, David. I like your low upward point of view. We can see the details very well in the log in the foreground which points to the sky. The polariser has done its job well, enhancing the contrasts and giving this nice blue hue to the sky.

Hi David,
very well captured and nicely composed shot from an interesting and well chosen low pov. Very good use of the cpl filter, thanks to which the light is warm and well managed and the colours are perfectly exposed. Nice one!
Tfs and best wishes.

Your composition is very good. Colors are well saturated, I like it! Strong contrast between beach and darkly blue sky is perfect.

Hi David,
Nice composition, simple and very interesting graphically. This wood in the sand raises questions, but seeing the aesthetic beauty of the photo, it is not necessary to wait for the response.
The blue sky in contrast with the sand turns out to be fantastic.
Great work.
Best regards,
Josep

I love the low to high POV. Photographing the shady side of this piece of wood as created some nice contrast between it and the sand. The clouds are very nicely composed as well. Very cool beach shot.
Regards,
Ryan
Lovely shot David, excellent low point of view, good lead in lines up the dune and a superbly contrasting sky at the top.
Good to see you posting again after a long gap. Haven't had much time myself lately but hoping that'll change soon.
cheers Leon

Liverpool you say... I would say Egypt or Morocco... Great light here David and impressive control over exposure. The deep blue sky and the perfect exposed golden sand really provides an interesting contrasting composition. Very beautiful.

Hi David
Good idea to choose the log as the main subject adding interest to this dune. The well polarized sky, animated by the fluffy clouds create an excellent background.

Hi David,
Beautiful sunny weather, almost tropical climate. Wonderful contrast. The wood may have been floating across the ocean or perhaps from somewhere closeby. Interesting thoughts.

hello david,
you have deservedly got lots of points for this and I am very pleased you add to your total to bring you to 50.
great POV, DOF and I love that blue, cloud dotted sky against the colur of the sand.
well done
Bev
Hi David,
This is great mate! It's refreshing to see an oceanside view that doesn't focus on the sea and sky. This one gives us all the context but from a very interesting POV that less attentive photographers might have passed to get to the rocky surf. The sidelighting gives it loads of texture and the colors are excellent. That tiny section of sky meeting the sand on the right shows post-processing a tad but that could be rectified by overlapping your selection slightly into the sand next time. Brilliant work!
PS: Your note brought a smile to my face as well. We've spent countless hours on UK beaches with the kids letting their imagination run wild. Myy 6 year old son tells me that this is the remains of the mast of a pirate ship!
Cheers!

Hola David:
Muy buena combinacion de luz y color, me gusta la fotografia sobre todo por su colorido.
Un saludo desde España:
Pablo
Lovely shot, David.
Well exposed with good strong colours.
I could imagine this framed or as a poster.
However, I feel the composition might have been stronger with the log a little more to the right. Also, there seems to be a bit of a halo on the right edge of the dune where it meets the sky.
regards,
Hauke
PS You're right, a 10-20 lens might have done an even better job here.

Pictures like this are giving meaning and make small things noticeable.
if you'd like to hear a truth, this is the first picture among others of your collection that I've clicked first.
Now about the technical part of the photo:
nice composition, balanced in every way, (frame, color, light exposure)
the only thing thats bothering my eye is the sky at the right line where the sand hill ends. it gives the impression that the sky is taken from another picture and pasted there. However that white area might be a strange cloud since the shape of the other clouds is different which it think confuses the viewer.
I don't know i am confused on that, but don't mind me and keep up the good work :)
Best Regards
Stelios
