[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The "Royal Arcade" at the end of this (now pedestrian) lane was completed in the summer of 1892, almost 115 years before my visit. It was lit by electricity from the beginning and provided indoor shopping -- one of the earliest "shopping malls."
This part of Boscombe (incorporated into Bournemouth for over 100 years), like so many others of that age had fallen on hard times in more recent years. But a huge effort is being made to clean up the area and police on friendly patrols are very visible.

Hi Silke,
the high differences of light are pleasant managed to have the structures and texture of the facade. Nice view well added with the branches.

Hi Silke. Good perspective of this facade and tower at the end of this street. The blue sky enhances any photograph and this helps here. TFS. Murray.

Hi Silke,
The wonderful old building is seen in lovely bright light that renders clear chrisp colors and excellent sharp details. Excellent contrast with the white tower and blue sky. The branches to the top left is another fine element to this image.
Regards, Tom

Hi Silke,
So you're baaaaaack, hope the rest of the trip went ok and you had good weather in Colmar ! I see this was at least the case in Bournemouth, such a blue sky is not the cliche idea we have about Britain, and it provies good light over the nice brick houses. The shade at the bottom is a bit too important, not so bad.
I think you got a WS ;-)
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Silke,
Nice vertical framing for these beautiful buildings, I like the branches at the top, well composed.
Best regards
Christian

Hi Silke,

Welcome back : )
Nicely composed image. I love the way the beautiful L shaped building elegantly fits into your frame .. I love the darkened bustle of modern life in the foreground .. I think it creates a timeless feel to the old beautiful building behind.

take care,

John

Hello Silke,
This is a fine street scenery, where you capture the fine architecture from the Victorian era so well!
Good point of view and I like the varied light...
Lovely colours & details!

Hello Silke
I see that you did a trip in England and came back with a suitcase of souvenirs.
Good presentation,I like the building with its architectural particularity, with a good light on it.The branch on top addsd a decorative element,in style with the period.
Have a good day
Charles
