Photographer’s Note
We now move inside St Asaph Cathedral.
This is a view of the Sanctuary area of the Presbytery with the altar and reredos. This area stands at the east end of the Cathedral. The East window dates from 1864 and was installed in memory of Bishop and Mrs Carey. The finely carved stalls date from 1482. The Presbytery as a whole was much restored by Gilbert Scott in 1869-75.
The photograph was taken hand held with the ISO uprated to 800. Apologies for any apparent lack of sharpness.

Good morning Stephen!
Your photo has a wonderful solemn atmosphere. The dark nave emphasizes the magnificent window in a good way. I like this one!
Greetings from rainy Germany - and have a nice weekend!

Hi Stephen, What a superb shot of this stunning stain glass window, the balence in the shot is excellent & great colours, very well composed, the only things against is the distence I feel we can't see enough detail, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Stephen.
A very difficult shot to control the light balance, except some corners they are a litlle more durk the photo is excellent, the glass window works superb with very nice colors and details.
The lamps on the right and on the left work also very good and they help for the good depth.
Cheers

Bonjour Stephen,
La prise de vue n'était pas aisée. Tu as réussi tout de même une très bonne photo. Une plus longue exposition aurait permis d'éclairer l'image.
L'architecture de l'intérieur de la Cathédrale est remarquable.
Bien vu !

Hello Stephen. The enormous multicolored window and the small lamps set special light accents. Light and shade in churches are the problems of photographers. I think that you solved this problem quite well. As a viewer one gets a good view of this great cathedral. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

a really well handled shot regarding lighting
all modes firmly and well exposed
daylight reflected and direct and the inside lamp lights all well co ordinated to give a good feel of open ness and yet retaining the cosiness of the lamplights
good detail and sharpness
