Photographer's Note

Netley abbey belongs to the english heritage and is one of the most beautiful abbey ruins anywhere in England, hiden in a leafy corner that seems worlds away from the suburbs of Southampton that surround it. it was founded in 1239 by monks from Beaulieu and consisted of a church and all the usual monastic buildings. it's quite easy to get there -- it's well signposted from A3025 road where you get from the 8. junction of M27 highway (I was coming from east from Brighton).
