Photographer’s Note
This photo shows Christ Church in the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare.
The church was built in 1885 and is located on Montpelier.
The photo is stitched together from 18 other photos using the software Autostitch.
I had to re-stitch the photo several times and the whole process was a lot more difficult than when I did my Panoramic View of Belfast.

Hi Andrew,
I love photos of old churches and this one is impressive. The colour of the sky is superb and the quality of the photo is also. Nice and sharp.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Andrew,
It's an impressive capture of that wonderful country church. The low pov and the clouds on that gorgeous sky enhances the majesty of the building. It's curious how the "technical flaw" of the inverted perspective (vertical lines should converge on the top, not on the bottom) actually it is good for the punchy effect.
The light, colour saturation and sharpness are perfect, as is the stitch. It's amazing how you managed to stitch 18(!) photos so well. Having a format that could be easily obtained by a single shot, I imagine that you wanted to produce a top quality huge image, right?
Regards, José.

Hi Andrew.
the point of view is really effective .. looking up at this church like this .. the other thing that strikes me much more than you might think is how the straight lines of the old building is framed above and below by the curves of the jet trails and the walk .. I love the simple and peaceful beauty of this structure.
take care,
John
