Photographer’s Note

I took a few shots of this busy little bee yesterday afternoon,composition wise I think this one came out the best.
He was far too busy getting deep into the flowers to show his face.
This a red-tailed bumble bee (Bombus lapidarius).

He`s certainly been one busy little bee looking at her pollen baskets, some good details , and colours look good too.

Beautiful capture. Usually, I prefer shots where you can see the head, but this one has so many other nice details instead - the large amount of pollen collected and the delicate pattern of the wing with the flower visible through it, etc. Nice one ;-)

He is certainly a busy guy with his head all the way down in the flower - and just look at the big bags of pollen he has collected. Very nice picture Andy.DOF and colours are perfect for this picture - Well done.
