At anchor
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
After three days of strong northerly winds and what seemed like a never ending mixture of sleet and hail showers, the weather has decided to take a complete about turn, for today, at least, we are bathed in glorious sunshine.
Spurred on by the weather, (and the fact that I have n't posted on TE for over 3 months), a trip up the coast to Lindisfarne was in order.
The shot shows the end of the pier, with some of the small boats lying on the sand as the tide creeps slowly in. |

Hi Alex
What a wonderful idea to go out on the pier for a different perspective!
Now i just wish that i had come up with that when i was there.
It seems maybe a tad over sharpened, but otherwise a good shot.
Regards
Harry
Hello Alex
A superb composition. The rusty anchor in the foreground and its chain, together with the other diagonals in the picture, lead the eye towards the distant castle.
The spring sunlight brings out just the right amount of colour.

Peter.

Hi Alex.
The depth and colours are very good. And the castle at the background is asthonishing.
Well done.
