South Bank: Dali's Elephant
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Dali-esque style of Thames: several statues adorn the walkway leading to the London Eye, including famous melted clocks and this elephant. There's also the Country Hall Gallery and permanent Dali exhibition.
The photo was shot with a compact but I think the quality is quite ok. I had different versions of the photo but liked the silhouette version the best.
Postprocessing: crop to 10x15 format, slight adjustment to levels to bring more color to the sky, resize, frame.
I hope Waterloo is a right location for this photo as there are some photos here in TE of the same elephant listed in Westminster. Please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Very nice picture, the colors are fantastic and the elephant looks great.
Hi Lennart,
I like him so black in front of that nicely clouded sky. Nice shot.
I published one of a copy of this elephant in St-Paul-de-Vence on the french riviera.
You'll find it

Fantastic Dali and magic sky!
Bravo!

Arty walkway, Lennart
Unigue silouhoutte shape of Dali's art is terrific against dramatic cloudy background.
Nice touch of warm sunlight at the skyline.
A nice beautiful place to visit.
