View of Albert Bridge from Chelsea Embankment (North Bank) on the River Thames.
Albert Bridge in Chelsea opened in 1872 first as a toll bridge but tolls were removed from 1879. In 1884 it was modernised to its current form by Sir Joseph Bazalgette whose claim to fame is the sewage system of London.
Featured in the Movie Sliding Doors (1998) starring Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah.
