Photographer's Note
A gem of a place that I usually drive past on the way to the motorway. This time I thought I'd stop and explore. Well worth it.

A Lovely shot - great colours and composition, with the foreground log, and the path of the bluebells leading the eye further into the wood. I've posted a couple of workshops, one just to lighten the image slightly, and the other is just an experiment... hope you like :)

C'est une forêt enchantée et magique que vous nous présentez.
La composition est parfaite il ne manque plus que la présence des fées. Cela ressemble à un décor de cartoon.
It is a magic and magic forest which you present to us. The composition is perfect it does not miss any more but the presence of the fairies. It's look like a decoration of cartoon.

What a beautifully moody shot, I'd love to visit this wood. The bluebells further away seem to be floating over the ground instead of growing in it. Well seen and captured ;-)

Very well, you've stopped here, so that we all can enjoy this fairy-like picture.
(And when you have a good look, you can see
the unicorn.....)
Splendid picture, Bob !

At first glance, it almost looks like a painting...very nice shot, just beautiful. Excellent choice to have the log in the foreground.

Didn't you blur a little the pic ?... There is a strange effect (a very nice one, I mean). This is soft and magical.

Yes, quite a gem... those bluebells look like some magical spray that has been lavished on the place. And that rope of a tree trunk - altogether a great photo. thanks for posting this , and of course for exploring it.

I love this image Bob. Bluebells are very difficult subjects as the colours can often shift but you have held the colour well. The light and colour on the log is wonderful and the use of softening in the background works very well.

Bob, fantastic shot. Love the depth of colour. Almost Velvia. It's coming round to the time of year when they'll be out again. Any news on that? I'm stuck in Essex and very little sign of bluebells so far. How about where your neck of the woods?

Very dreamy quality. The softness of the photo doesnt' take away from the vivid and beautiful colors. Wonderful depth in this composition. Well done.

Three fabulous pictures just came up on your home page. I chose this one to critique. The colour i miraculous, so English spring light. and I love the use of DoF to impose order on the composition by throwing the interest primarily on the foreground. regards kevin

Superb picture. The colours are wondefully captured, the angle is also very good, wuth a delicious diagonal. On the same hand, all the composition has a lovely sharpness.

Hi Bob,
What a fantastic, magical, mystical photo. Firstly I was drawn to the contrast of colours. The gorgeous blue almost mixing with the green.
Then, I saw the two beasts. One, a lion, unbelievably protecting a ram in the background.
Love it. Can't believe no one else has mentioned it though.
regards
Diane
