Photographer’s Note
Warning - this is purposefully a dark photo. If your monitor is not calibrated reasonably (the grey-bars at the bottom should all be distinguishable) then you may see very little!
This is the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge from a very foggy day in November last year. Though the bridge's lights were on, you couldn't see past half-way. Where they disappear on the image isn't a post-processed face, that's it.
I took this in raw format as I knew that it would be hard to see the figure in the foreground without burning out the lights on the bridge.
It's a little grainy, as I had to use a high ISO due to the low-light. Still had to go with 1/3s exposure, which is a bugger without a tripod :)
Oh, and the title is still accurate when visibility is good, as the Avon gorge which the bridge spans is the city boundary. On the other side you're in Somerset instead of Bristol. If you're from New York, think of the other side as New Jersey ;)

I wouldn't have guessed that you had no tripod! It's spooky & moody, the dark silhouette of the person is a nice point of interest, the fog obscuring the bridge & causing it to disappear into the gloom is captured really well.
A lot of people (myself included) would probably look out their window on a night like that & think 'naahh, I'm not going out in that' but by doing so i think you've captured a nice, unique image.

This is a great, moody shot! I like it a lot.
It might be leaning to the right a bit...
Good job!

Robert
This is a great shot with good composition. I really like tha person standing looking at the bridge.
I love this bridge from engineer Brunel and I know the area very well as I spent around 7 years in Bristol.
Well done and TFS.

I like the mood and mystery here with the lone walker in the foreground against the dimmly lit bridge. Nice nocturnal Robert.
Best Regards,
Rob
