Photographer’s Note
"It's my life story...!" he said and held up this paperback book. He was poorly dressed and obviously just surviving. I never did read his book. I always wonder what was written in it ?

Great double portrait Christopher...I like so much these images from the sixties - were you a working photographer then? There is such a strong documentary quality to your images I wonder if you were proiducing for publication. love your work. best wishes Kev

Excellent photo.
Spent many a Sunday at Speaker's Corner. Taken a few photos there myself too.
The book is by Heathcote Williams, it describes many of the regulars in the sixties.
My friend Tony Allen, a regular speaker for many years, has published an account of the dynamics of the debate here, a marvellous read too:
