Photographer’s Note

As I explained in the previous photo (go and have a look if you did not see it yet), I came out of Westminster Underground Station and was confronted by the London Eye on my left and the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben on my right...
Truly spectacular...:)

Hi Lili!
Amazing night shot with spectacular colors (correct saturation and contrast), nice sharpness, great definition and perfect luminosity.
It seems to me that there is some OE at the building feature... but it's just an impression.
But it's a splendid shot, anyway!
The POV it's very good and the framing it's fine too!

A beautiful festive photo, Lili. The lighting is nice and even for a nighttime shot--you must have framed it to avoid anything that would be blown out, as often happens in night shots. Ideally you might have gotten this shot earlier so there would still be some light in the sky--dark cobalt blue instead of pure black. But it still looks great! Merry Christmas! Regards, Ken.

Another great one - this time a night shot! Nothing like Christmas for night shots - highlighted and sparkling!
Ha, I need to visit Europe in Christmas...
Very good use of medium to long focal length here, compresses the composition and brings everything together, esp. the Eye of London, the big Christmas tree and the Westminster impressive building...Good call for exposure control!

As I'm going to London in a couple of days, this photo of Big Ben is quite inspiring although I don't know if I'll be able to go walking round London at night.
Great compo including the eye and Ymas tree.
Nice mix of light and dark. The details of the building stand out well.

Hello Liliana,

A great shot here of this very famous building and modern Ferris wheel eye. I look forward to the day when I will get to see this for myself. The Christmas tree is a good festive season inclusion. I think that the image is tilted to the left a little, and sharpening might be a little overdone, and the very top of Big Ben could have been a bit lighter; but they are minor errors in an otherwise wonderful photograph. The frame is well suited to the scene. TFS, a beautiful night photo of these icons!
