[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I couldn't resist this sign as I love the juxtaposition of the perfect sky and the mis spelled sign (should be Bardfield).
Hackneyed I know but what the H.
Tech: converted to B&W (r90g10b0)cropped to clear the overhanging eaves of a house and adjusted curves
Just noticed the artifact in the cloud which I should have removed.

the clouds are amazing, but i wouldnt like to be heading to that direction, well shot and done

I like this a lot. The sky has been captured well, and the use of black and white really gives this photo a dynamic feel to it. Well done.

Great compo, i love the perspective that you choose.
B&W work great here, the framing also fits.

Another beautiful shot! Thanks for sharing it and for the teachings.

Very observant and well planned. I've seen a few amusing signs recently, has anyone started a theme?

I like the precision of the composition and also the nice effect of perspective.
And I really appreciate that the post is perfectly vertical, without any deformation.
The blacks and the whites are wonderful, with depth.
And finally the sky is fantastic !
Once more a photo that I really appreciate, thank you, Richard.

How do you get whose dramatic skies Richard???
They're great!
And this shot, as always is very interesting, I like this composition.
Well done!

Nice composition and creative idea, congratulations Richard !!! I like above all the texture of the sky !!!

A well observed and moody photograph, the mis- spelled sign adds interest.I had'nt noticed it until I read your note!
Superb sky and composition.Great,well done.

Lovely clouds. I don't see any artefacts in the clouds - except perhaps some dust spots (dust in a digital photo?)

you really have a kick for skies richard! How do you manage can you tell me more about this filter you evoke so often? thanks

This photo is a great evokation of england, at least the england I once knew as a teenager. let's say a few years back;-) LOL

A simple but great composition Richard. The skies really help on the mood here and your note is precious. Good job!

Great Richard, the composition, the fantastic colours and the great textures. The B&W chice is perfect in this situation. I love it

Just a sign, but a very nice detail against this great sky !

It's that signpost in Great Bardfield? ..... nicely done Richard .... Kay and I glance through your offerings with great interest!

Well done Sir,

Regards,

Vic, Singapore. 10th July 2004

i love how dark a deep blue sky can look in b&w. good job. i would have liked to see the sign not on the border of the picture though...maybe an inch of space on the left...but, it looks great how it is!

Beautiful Photo! It makes me feel like I`m just walking along that road. I also like the way the B&W looks.
