Hi Kajal,
Quite interesting one. You have found higher place to shoot. So much happening. So many different faces, some on the move some not.
Brown toning was a good idea.
This is England... :)

The dreaded auto white balance in poor light bugbear. Know it well, it catches you unawares. But why worry? This looks great. I haven't yet found a face in there that's not Indian-looking; surely there must be one! You captured the spirit of the place and occasion pretty well, and the odd blurred bit in the foreground doesn't hurt at all.
Regards,
Andrew

Excellento!!
i liked the composition of the picture!!...!!
This is pretty cool Kaj. I like however you have processed it: the colors and tones might not be exactly accurate but I think they are totally appropriate. I think this is a pretty good catch of a moving mass of people; something I have tried but never done well. Maybe it is just a little dark overall? Nice shot.
Hi,
Have you ever read a book called "Where is Wally?" from Martin Handford. In fact it's not really a book... and there is not really anything to read in it... but it's from Martin Handford for sure ;-) Each page is actually an illustration full of tiny people that just fill the page and the goal is to find Wally hiding somewhere. It's for 7-11 (I love it). Well, I didn't find Wally in your pick but I found 3 cops (probably checking the invasion is done in order...) and 2 twins... Hmmm
I think the colour is fine but I guess you could should RAW with your EOS 350D and change the WB later, to avoid the disagreement you talked about.
I like the overall result to be honest, though my eyes are bleading from having searching Wally for too long, 2 cm from my screen...
Cheers,
Vincent

Hi Kajal,
A very nice view on the crowd. I like its composition. Its colour too ! This sort of brown creates uniformity for the crowd and puts light, as a result, on its homogeneity (or something like that). Imagine different contrasting colours: blue, red, yellow, pink and so on. The picture would have been totally different and to reach the idea of "plenty of people there for the same purpose" would be lost. It's my point of view and I may be wrong !

Very nice Kaj - i thought about coming down and then decided not to - great shot I really like this a lot and appreciate the environment you shot it in - you got up higher for a change!!! Were you on stilts!? ...
You've caught this brilliantly to my eye and sensibilities fantastic!

Kaj,
Though it is in dark, this is just perfect & perfectly working for me.
This is due to sort od colors (Old tones) or may be controlled de-saturation.
Even in rush & night ..well controlled shot.
Very well done.

PS: I am going to India for 3-4 days from 28th December.

A photo from the book "21st century photography".. (It hasn't been published yet). But you have an outsider's POV that makes your photos different..may be making you a witness of age..

Nice photo! Very festive! Appropriate tint and excellent title... Almost a culture shock to see Diwali celebrations going on with such gusto in the UK. I guess Asians in the US are much more diluted and smaller with proportion to the rest of the population. The sense of community is often not as strong when people migrate to another country as professionals (which results in a fragmented family) rather than by family sponsorship. IMHO the US has seen a more of the former compared to the UK.
As a side note, the term 'Asian' in the US is used for people from China and countries that comprise the South East Asian rim. The other categories are East Indian and Middle Eastern. I guess Indians being the largest minority in the UK (rightfully) hijacked the term. :-)

Hi Kajal,
I like this one and you found the right title.
Good PP to create interesting colors also, a sort of 70's mood.
