This was taken yesterday, just before the farmer took the final hay stack away. I think the lighting is better here than on my last post but still is missing something. Not sure what that is though. Prehaps the background and clounds are not so intersting.
I hope you like it.

I quite like the composition and the soft lighting. By the look of it you have been doing some post-processing work on the sky and/or the rest of the image. There seems to be halo along the treeline. When working on the sky as opposed to the rest of the image, it is best to apply quite a high feathering between 40 and 60. This helps smooth out any major changes. Hope this helps.

this struck me as a constable when i saw the thumbnail - imho your "something missing" is mainly the right light, and if its not there - its not there! see monets haystacks painted over a period of time
if you have photoshop or the gimp you can try to fake it - i produced the constable i saw in this, and tried to make some improvements with photshop too - not trying to be clever (and am certainly no expert) just my way of relaxing and improving my phshop skills - email me if you want copies as they dont seem to allow uploads here
waiting for the right moment and retaking same scene to get what you want is one of the joys of photography to me - sadly i guess the farmer wont play along and put the haybale back tho' ;)
