Another shot from my recent trip to Isle of Skye.
The same story as with the last photo - early wake-up & drive to the parking place, quick rush to the top - to be there before the sunrise (4:40).
When it comes to technical specs - this is a HDR image, made of 3 exposures, as the results with my ND-Grad filters were very poor.
Hope you'll like it. Best regards - Piotr.
PS. For your pleasure, here is a link to a larger version. I really recommend you this version :

A beautiful part of Scotland and you've done it justice with this image - very beautiful.
I'm envious - rains nearly every time I go there!
Stunning sky providing a super contrast against the harsh, rugged rocks.

Wonderful light Piotr. Your title couldn't be better. I love the rough aspect of that landscape but it is the wet green of that grass tapestry that amazes me. Really super photo!

Piotr, great composition, wonderful atmosphere captured in the sunlight on the clouds here. However, not sure what your HDR treatment has brought... to me the whole foreground is way too dark... maybe it's my monitor. I corrected it in a workshop using a layer mask and the gradient tool. What do you think?
Oh, you have disabled workshops. Why's that? That was a waste of my time then...

Your technical ability with HDR is pretty impressive - I often struggle to get results I'm happy with and rarely own up to it on TE, alhough several of mine are HDR's
Excellent light, superb 3D perspective. Powerful stuff

The best account one could give of the awe those mighty pillars inspire. Congratulations, I think the Ol' Man of Storr (that is, the needle towering on the left of the rising sun) is grateful you paid him such a tribute. May the force be with you, lucky Skyewalker :)

A nice image, a good diagonal, superb colors in the sky.

Piotr, I can see that you have same weakness for this fantastic part of UK or rather say Scotland. Isle of Skye is magnificently beautiful. Your photo is combination of great effort of getting up really early and great luck with such a great sunrise. Very good management of light as this is not the easiest light condition. Well done. I'm not familiar with HDR but the result is amazing. Realy nice colours.
Thanks for sharing and providing the link. The large version is so much more impressive.
