Photographer’s Note

This is a shot from the same roll as the last shot... taken with a rather sexy F3 on Kodak BW400CN (process as colour film). For scanning this is a great film to use :)

I enjoyed shooting this guy and he didn't mind. Right in the middle of the main shopping street in Manchester with the most incredible light coming from his left side...

I think this is what I was aiming for, but I'm not sure. Sometimes I sure wish that I could just take a break in the middle of it and chill out like this guy!

Nice B/W photo, i find the mans expression quite interesting as though he's supposedly on his break he looks not completely at rest as if he has a few problems but for the moment he will loose himself in his cigerette moment and gaze at the people passing by. the cobbles in the street and bench create a nice effect to the image and the light shines nicely through the wood bench and off his back. The smoke is a nice touch too. the young boy with the nike bag looks so excited with his new purcahse, maybe symbolic of our like for consumerism and labels

I like this one Lewis. The man is backlit, and this adds a special light on him. I also like how your depth of field here isolates him from his surroundings.
