There she was, with her Private School schoolmates, visiting the Nottingham castle, like we (Kev Ryan, Isabel and I) did.
We spent a great day together with Kev in Nottingham, (see him here being interviewed by two future Managers of Arts, which actually could be his future colleagues) thanks again Kev, and I owe you a good meal, and a pint.
I liked to see her run and fly like that, and I think she ran to the loo. You got to run when you got to run, right? I also have a skipping girl from the same place, and they both reminded me of Curtis' lovely picture of this skipping girl.

And yes of course, also here girls dress in pink, even if it’s a uniform!

Hi Rinie, excellent and amazing shot!
that runnin' and jumpin' girl is captured with a fantastic focus and exposure!
great colours, light and POV.
i watched few days ago Dead's Poets Society and that image should part of that movie!
excellent image.
thanks, ciao

Nice live capture, Rinie.

Congratulations for your 200th, Rinie!
What a great way to celebrate it!
Love the way she looks like a rare butterfly among the flowers, eager to visit other places, as for your note;)
Indeed it was a delightful, prolific day.
Thanks to you, my friend, to Kev and to the UK crew (Richard, Kev, Kaj) for being so gentle with me.
Love,
I

Hi Rinie,
Little girls and boys don't need reasons for running... Cute action shot with old time feeling. She look so much brighter than everything else. Any PP?
Congratulations!
Kari

Oh yes, I thought that was a good one first time I saw it. And such an English look in her rather archaic looking uniform. I didn't know there were still schools that insisted on that stuff!

Hi Rinie,
Cute shot! The colors and contrasts are striking! It funny to see how everything looks very old fashioned and innocent. I like the joyfull and natural side of this shot.
Nicolas

Hey! This photos looks like a movie of the second world war too, one of John Boorman, "Hope and Glory", a film with one of the most joyfull endings in filmmaking history. Good timing in this photo. Lots of love from Cannes.

Very photogeninc setting and a nice mid-air capture. Shame about the lorry in the background, but not much you can do on the spare of the moment.

A precious moment, Rinie, and a lovely photo to commemorate your 200th on TE. Good timing to not only capture the girl in mid-air but also she is positioned quite well to the right of the flowerbed and with a nice visibility towards her classmates in the back. A joyful photo, very nice. Thanks for adding the two WS photos, seems like you've had a fine journey in the UK.

Hi Rnie,
Nice timed catch, and interesting framing. This school girl's uniform makes this image lok very old.
I Like the WS photo even more, beautiful.

Congratulations on your 200th, Rinie. It just excudes Englishness. What a nice moment to catch, so carefree, full of joy, both feet from the ground, she flys......and so must I, running to the airport now..have fun in Paris all of you

Rinie, youve been around for a long time so Im shocked this is only #200. Lovely moment with a well composed girl caught in mid flight. Nice shot for an anniversary.

What can be britisher? you even caught a "racing green" color on the side of a truck.. reminds me of Jerome K. Jerome novels or (even though he's american) Winslow Homer paintings about kids.
the moment you caught is amazing, yes, I agree she's flying over the frame and towards a trickload of points for this shot.

Woow, very good cought moment. I like the way how you composed that photo. Amaizing and special mood of private english school. All of the kids in the background look for me like from old movie. This really, really good capture- grass, flowers, truck, walls of the old school building, kids and of course flaing girl. well done

Absolutely brilliant Rinie! Everything is great, apart from the obvious the colours are really good, it screams summer and I need that ;o) again I'm left without anything construtive to say :o)

Hello Rinie,
Excellent timing to catch girl's moving. And the
whole scene is very interesting with nice colors
and details.Good work.
Best wishes,
Thomas

Dear Rinie, forgive my absences from your work - this is absolutely splendid. Luko certainly expressed it very well, but you captured a subtle slice of England there, touches of Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter too! Your timing is exquisite and I even like the threatening shadowy oresence of that military-looking truck on the right...
One heck of scene!
Love,
Francis

Hi Rinie - well I knew you had a winner the moment I saw this on your screen - just brilliant - the workshop photo is also quite extraordinary - beautiful to catch them both off the ground - inspiring work!! hehehe! Just remembering this moment and the day with you and Isabel!! Great times!!

love and bw Kev

p.s. I think I still owe you a meal!!

Hi rinie
Good capture of this girl in full run to or from somewhere. Seems like running is a bit out of style for this school. Well seen this moment..

Bonjour Rinie,
Vliegen? Dat ben jij zeker aan het doen... Voelde je je ook zo? Kreeg jij vleugels?

Bert

Dear Rinie,
Sorry I had missed that event of yours, my congratulations !
There's joy to celebrate in your image, I like the dynamic of this girl and the fact she jumps in the light while the other ones are in the shady background, it makes her stand out very well. And it's a nice documentation of these remaining British (and Asian as well) traditions !
She must be running towards your 300th post, let them come ;-)
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Very good cought moment. I like the way how you composed that photo. Very sympathic!

I love this one - it captures so well the energy and exuberance of youth, and it so beautifully conveys a sense of extreme Englishness (is that a word?). Love the context with the lovely old building, the other kids, the exotic tulips(?), and even the truck (don't ask me why). Well seen, well timed and well taken!

Hi Rinie
Today must by my 'skipping girls' day.
It's the second one, and who said the last one.
Absolutely gorgeous combination of motion, bright colors and that very special nottinghamshire' kind of noble green tone of the rest.
I love it tremendously.
george ( ready to skip the whole weekend)

Hi Rinie,
What a touching picture this is of the young girl literally flying off. She seems so full of life as she must be. Well seen and well captured. Thanks for those links.

Exellent capture in motion, Rinie:)
This shot is natural and lively.
Thanks for sharing,

Dag, Rinie.

Hi Rinie

Sorry I never gave you some words on this fine catch - I could remember seeing it and was sure I comment it as well :-)

I like the setup and the situation with the happy girl jumping around - those uniforms surely something special UK - but I can see the advantage - no problems selecting clothes in the morning ;-)
